One of the newest Cisco Certified Network Associate Voice certifications, the 640- 460 exam is great for IT professionals who have strong background in voice and telephony technology. They must know how to interpret network diagrams, basics of routing and switching, TCP/IP and OSI working knowledge, IP addressing, networks comprising VLANs and Frame Relay Connections. Apart from the aforementioned topics, one must also be equipped with other information regarding troubleshooting, security and traffic management.
Cisco recommends the Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications (IIUC) version 1.0 to help in the training process for the 640-460 exam. This course has been certified by Cisco instructors and is offered by Cisco Learning Partners, who are the only authorized source for Cisco IT training.
